So many bad shots on the golf course are caused by bad alignment and yet this is probably the easiest problem to fix on the range during your practice. If your alignment to the target is out, your body compensates this by making an extra movement in your swing to try and get the ball heading in the right direction. This is when most miss hits or wayward shots occur. The easiest way to check that your aiming is correct is by placing a couple of clubs on the ground while you are practicing on the range. The 1st club you will have aiming towards your target and the 2nd club will lie parallel to the 1st club, it will look very similar to a train track. The next step is to line your club face up to the target alongside the 1st club and then set your feet, hips and shoulders parallel to the 2nd club. Practicing this on the range will help correct your alignment and stop those unnecessary bad shots. |
