Invitations

  • Use your invites to collect registration info needed for the day: player names, company name, handicaps (advise a maximum of 27 for Men & 36 for Ladies that don’t have an official handicap).
  • Ask if hire equipment is needed (right/left handed). If you are planning for your guests to pay for their own hire clubs, provide information on costs to hire equipment.
  • Advise guests to bring their own towel if they wish to shower after the game.
  • Before you send out your invites, double check the timings, address, date and any other information with the Corporate Golf Office!

Sponsors/Partners

  • Major companies involved in your day could sponsor a hole on the golf course. Novelties can be run on these holes by the employees of this company – ask the corporate golf office for advice!
  • Major companies involved may want to sponsor prizes for the day with their promotional products.

Signage

  • Banners can be placed at the registration area and on-course.
  • Your company banner would look great at the registration area as guests arrive.
  • Give your sponsors the option of placing their banners on their sponsored hole.
  • Or you could have your company/organisations banner alongside sponsor’s banners at the registration area.
  • Please note all signage is to be delivered to the golf course 3 days prior to your event.
  • Please provide a list of the placing of each banner to the Corporate Golf Office.

Teams

  • When organising the teams for your day try and have a reasonable golfer in each team (or at least someone that has played before!)
  • At the same time, remember that the people in each team will be spending 4 ½ hours together (2 hours for 9 holes), so make sure that the people in the team will relate to each other, and perhaps try to have one of your staff members teamed with three of your clients so they can look after them for the day.
  • Teams can also be organised by handicaps to make sure they are fair. If you collect each players’ handicap when they RSVP, and forward this info to us… we can organise the teams for you.
  • We can solve the problem of handicaps for you! Ask us about our mystery hole calculation that takes the guess work out of handicapping golfers. Leave it to us to calculate the scores after the round.

Gift Packs

  • It is a great idea for your company to give a gift pack to each player as they arrive on the day as a thankyou for attending.
  • These packs can be organised for you through the Corporate Golf Office, with anything from logoed golf balls & tees, along with promotional items from your company and sponsors and a logoed hat for the summer weather or perhaps an umbrella for the wetter months.
  • Logoed golf balls are a great way to get your company name onto the course – literally! These can be organised through the Corporate Golf Office for a range of costs, depending on the brand of the golf ball and the quantity ordered… feel free to ask us for further info.
  • If you don’t have the budget or time to get logoed balls made up, it is still a good idea for you to give your guests 2 or 3 golf balls (especially those who have never played) as they are likely to lose a few on the course throughout the day!

Prizes

  • When organising your prizes for the day, remember that we offer a great corporate discount on items purchased through the Burswood Park Pro Shop. Ask the Corporate Golf Office for further info.
  • Remember you also receive complimentary golf passes from Burswood Park that can be used.
  • NAGA (“Not-A-Golfers-@$$”) – The NAGA award is rewarded to the team who receives last place on the day. Have bit of fun with this prize – perhaps give the group a cricket bat each seeing as they can’t cut it as a golfer!
  • A prize table will be set-up for you while you are out playing the course. Please provide a list of the competitions you will be having and the prizes allocated to each. Suggestions are: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, NAGA, Nearest to Pins, Longest /Shortest Drives, Fastest/Slowest Drives (a speed gun can be organised for this novelty at an extra cost) or a Hole-in-One.

Presentations

  • When organising the format for your post-golf presentations, think about who will be presenting the prizes, thanking the sponsors and relaying any funny stories from the day. It may be worth organising an MC for the night if there isn’t someone appropriate from your organisation.
  • Indoor banners/signage can also be placed around the presentation room, so make this option available to your sponsors/ partners for the day and make sure to also bring any indoor signage that you have available in your organisation.

Remember: The Corporate Golf Office is here to help you! If you have any queries, or would like further information on any items mentioned, please feel free to contact us!
